ACID RADIATOR

Radiator (II) is a unique piece that extends the series’ focus on structure, heat, and containment. A hand-formed neon “radiator”—made from a single piece of fused cobalt and clear glass pumped with neon—emits a bright red and purple glow that reads as both line and surface, intensified by the layered glass.

The illuminated element emerges from a hand-formed terracotta bowl, and is held in place by a cantilevered arm made of aircraft aluminum. 

The work is built as a set of contrasts: the bowl’s earthen mass and irregular edge against the radiator’s crisp geometry; the softness of clay against the engineered metal; light treated as a material that appears to press, hover, and radiate. 

This sculpture can be wall-mounted or placed on a tabletop. Although the Radiator series includes multiple variants, this configuration is unique.
